Jack O’Brien joined the EVO team in 2020 as a Portfolio Analyst and has since become the firms Portfolio Manager. He’s helped launch our Environmental, Social and Governance investment portfolio, and is leading key technology projects for the firm.
Jack completed his Executive Education at Chicago Booth and passed his CIMA® (Certified Investment Management Analyst) exam in February of 2023.
Jack graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Tech’s College of Natural Resources and Environment with a BS in Water Resources, Policy and Management and minor in Economics in May 2020. Much of his time was spent managing a portion of Virginia Tech’s endowment as a member of COINS – Commodity Investing by Students. Jack was a member of the Alpha Zeta Honors Fraternity, co-led the Agriculture Economics Club and represented Virginia Tech on the National Agri-Marketing Association Student Team.
After his involvement with investing at Virginia Tech, Jack realized he could combine this experience with his passion for socially responsible investing. Within COINS he was the lead commodities analyst for coffee, soybeans, and gasoline.
When he isn’t leading an internal project or overseeing client investments as Portfolio Manager, you can find him outside on a walk or hike. We are all excited to have Jack on the EVO team and think you will find his expertise and easy going attitude a key addition to our firm!
