Dave O’Brien, EVOadvisers co-founder, named Chair of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA)

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]At the start of September, Dave will lead the largest association of Fee-Only advisors during a time of growth and consumer regulatory reform.

Now more than ever, Americans need financial planners who continue learning and adhering to the authentic fiduciary standard.  We at EVOadvisers believe people deserve financial advice from highly trained professionals not influenced by commissions.  That’s why we are members of NAPFA.  Dave has worked for years at the highest levels in Washington, DC with regulators and professional organizations like NAPFA and the CFP Board to help make the system better for all of us.  And for the next year he leads NAPFA at an exciting time for the profession.

What’s NAPFA?

The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) is the country’s leading professional association of Fee-Only financial advisors.  With over 3,700 members and growing 10-12% over the past three years, more CFP® professionals are showing their commitment to their clients by earning membership.   NAPFA members undergo rigorous peer review, double the education requirement of other CFP® professionals, commit to Fee-Only compensation and take a fiduciary oath to their clients.

What does this mean?

As NAPFA chair, Dave now has an even bigger platform to advocate for people like you, hardworking savers and investors who play by the rules.  This means he’ll be traveling and representing you over the next year, and we’ve added and trained staff in anticipation of this.

How can I follow along?

If you’d like to follow along on his journey, he’ll document the year on Twitter (@DaveOBrienCFP), and we’ll be sure to update you as the year progresses.

Let's set up a meeting!
